While traveling in various countries I began to film images of wind speed and their effects.
I also took measurements in the desert and on the shores of the ocean.
Studying both natural movements of air – the wind blowing unchecked over sand, sea and fields or obstructed and channeled by the trees of a forest or the walls of a big city – and those produced mechanically for example by the rotors of a helicopter.
These experiments are shown in a 16mm film “Wind Speed 40 knots”.
The same year, using wind machines, I reproduced the effects of this 40 knots blow indoor in a gallery space in Rome, galleria La Tartaruga.
