The black cat-also known as the wild cat -was originally designed by Ralph Hosea Chaplin for use by the North American IWW [Industrial Workers of the World] organization in the 1910s.
Also known as a sabotage cat, it is a propaganda and agitation tool in the context of strikes and stands as one of the most emblematic historical figures of the anarchist movement.
Anarcogatos was conceived as a variant of the libertarian black cat, with the intention of giving voice to dissent. A voice that rejects all those authoritarian and reactionary concepts that are associated with the idea of the nation-state and its mechanisms of control and oppression.
