(Bochum 1960) Here are a few questions that keep me going: can an artistic gesture be based on the notions of choice, of decision-making by the viewer, of the posture of those who encounter the artwork? Can this decision-making become constructive material? If I assume that decision-making is the smallest unit of political and social action, can an encounter with art generate a permanent oscillation between a political and an aesthetical statement/gesture?
