Cosmic Air is an audio montage made by Helga Franza and Silvia Hell that collects the interventions of astrophysicists, researchers, artists and curators who have passed over the years through Cosmic Things’ platform. The voices of Luca Valenziano, Massimo Cappi, Jan Harms, Mariateresa Crosta, Luciano Boccalatte, Lilith Grassi, Maurizio Guerri, Freddy Paul Grunert, alternate in a multifocal narration on cosmos, galaxies, stars, memory and resistance …

”We thought of air as that empty, invisible field …
You know those graphs…? A scientist told us that they call it “the ignorance chart”: the pie in which the percentage of ordinary matter in the universe is only around 4/5%. We would like to avoid the initial peak of the Dunning-Kruger effect by relating philosophy and history to science and art. Talking about galaxies and stars, Resistance and insurrections through some interventions chosen from some materials from Cosmic Thing’s archive.” Helga Franza and Silvia Hell

COSMIC THINGS (born in 2011) is a platform/place/catalyst/curatorial project where artists, scientists and researchers from various disciplines are called to present a reflection, a thought on space, time, energy, matter, void, to define the universe in which we live and propose new forms, ideas and theories to represent and explain the world. Cose Cosmiche is curated by Helga Franza and Silvia Hell.
